Try-Lax
Caledonia Youth Lacrosse Club is offering a Try-Lax program for young athletes who are brand new to the sport. This is a low-pressure, low-commitment event for kids who have never picked up a lacrosse stick or for those who are on the edge about committing to a season.
Ages
We welcome players from Pre-K through 8th grade.
When
Typically held in November each year.
Where
We typically hold our Try-Lax event at Duncan Lake Middle School (DL2) or at Scotland Yard.
Cost
Our Try-Lax days are free!
Sticks
Please bring a lacrosse stick if you have one, however, if you do not have one, we can provide sticks on a first-come-first-serve basis. Details on this are in the registration.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do we bring?
Kids should bring a lacrosse stick (if they have one), tennis shoes, and some water.
Also, since we often hold these in November, weather can be...interesting. Please be sure to have your kid dress accordingly.
Who will be there?
Each Try-Lax session is different, however, we usually have players from the Caledonia High School boys and girls lacrosse teams alongside Caledonia Youth Lacrosse coaches.
What will we do?
Through fun, timed stations, we teach the kids the four fundamentals of lacrosse: passing, catching, ground balls, and cradling.
