Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct
I hereby pledge to provide positive support and encouragement for my child participant in the Caledonia Youth Lacrosse Club Program by following this Code of Conduct:
- I agree to cheer and support good team play.
- I agree to have my child at the field in time to gear up and be ready to participate when practice or warm-ups begin, and pick my child up on time after practice. If my child will be absent, I will notify the administrator and coaches in a timely manner.
- I agree to let the coaches do the coaching.
- I agree to respect coaching decisions regarding playing time and position.
- I agree to accept referee decisions. I understand verbal abuse or harassment of a referee could lead to expulsion from the venue.
- I agree to be a positive role model for my child.
- I agree to display good sportsmanship by respecting opposing fans, coaches and officials.
- I will avoid the use of profane and obnoxious language and behavior.
- I agree to not approach players or coaches before, during or immediately after games with anything other than congratulations.
- I understand that if I or my player is involved in a major disciplinary infraction involving: drugs, alcohol, violent behavior, etc. we will be suspended or removed permanently from the team.
- I understand that my child is responsible for wearing all proper protective equipment (helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm guards, athletic cup, mouth guard and additional protective equipment when playing that position).
- I understand that my player is expected to behave in a respectful, courteous manner at all times and I am responsible for my player at all times.
- I understand that I will be required to volunteer for the Nick Aitchison Memorial Tournament.
By registering my player for CYLC I confirm that I have read, understand, and agree to abide by the CYLC Code of Conduct. I have also read and discussed with my child participant the player's Code of Conduct and will do my best to positively encourage my child to abide by its contents.
