What equipment is required?
There is limited contact in girls' lacrosse. A legal girls' lacrosse stick is required to play along with mandatory protective gear like goggles and a mouthguard. Dicks Sporting Goods is a great resource for beginners as they typically sell a "starter pack."
Goalie's are required to wear a helmet and face mask, mouth guard, chest protector, throat protector and padded gloves. The goalie's stick has a much larger net. Equipment for goalie is provided to each team.
Who are the coaches?
Our coaches are parent volunteers. All coaches undergo background checks and follow USA Lacrosse best-practice guidelines.
If you are interested in coaching please do not hesitate to reach out to the club to inquire further. You do not need to know anything about lacrosse to start coaching!
How can parents get involved?
We rely upon—and are always looking for additional—parent volunteers for coaching, team management, and events. Let us know during registration if you're interested—we appreciate the support!
Is USA Lacrosse membership required?
We do not currently require a USA Lacrosse membership to play; this may change in future seasons.
Payment options available?
Season payments can be made in-full or with a payment plan over the season. We never want financial issues to be a barrier to try lacrosse, if you're undergoing a financial hardship, please reach out to info@caledoniayouthlacrosse.com for scholarship options.
