The rules in Boys Lacrosse can be a challenge to pickup, especially if
you've never seen the game before. Here's a quick introduction to the
rules:
Key Rules / Guidelines
Some of the key rules and guidelines to know as a
parent or
new player:
-
Offsides: The general rule here is that there always must be four
players back on the defensive side of the field (three for U10) and
three players forward in the offensive side (two in U10). Typically, this means the goalie and the three defenders stay back on the defensive side, and the attacks stay on the offensive side. Though, as long as there are enough players back, any player can go anywhere on the field.
- Crease: The crease is the circle area around the goals on either side of the field.
